Cancellations and Refunds
At Home Safes USA, we strive to have the best return policies in the industry. You can cancel your order any time before it ships completely free of charge (some exceptions apply, such as custom orders. See "Cancellation of Custom Orders" below for more details).
If you have any questions or would like to cancel your order before it ships, please email orders@homesafesusa.com with your order details (name and order number) or call us during business hours at (609) 375-8025.
Order Cancellation (Before Order Ships)
If you would like to cancel your order before it ships, please contact us as soon as possible so we can issue you a full refund before your order leaves the warehouse. Cancellation of Custom Orders
Custom or Made-To-Order products cannot be cancelled or refunded as these products are manufactured specifically for your custom order. Some custom order brands include Sun Welding Safe Company.
These products are custom built to your exact specifications once your order has been placed. As soon as your order is received, the manufacturer starts to built your custom product. Your warranty will guarantee that you receive a fully functional and operational product. If you are unsure whether your order is a Custom product or Made-To-Order product, please contact us at orders@homesafesusa.com or call us during business hours at (609) 375-8025.
All sales are final for Custom and Made-To-Order products.
Refunds and Returns
If you need to return or exchange your order, you may do so. You as the customer are responsible for any shipping costs, cancellation fees, or restocking fees throughout the return and exchange process.
Not all orders are available for return after they have shipped. As we order our products directly from the manufacturers, we cannot offer you a return if the manufacturer will not permit us to return a product. This policy varies on a case by case basis, so please reach out to us directly if you would like specific information your product or a particular brand. Please also refer to the Returns tab on each individual product page for additional return details for that product or manufacturer.
Due to the rising costs of LTL freight shipping, all outright returns will incur a 25% cancellation fee plus return shipping costs. If you would like to replace your order with another product, please contact us as we may be able to help you cover some of the associates costs depending on the product or brand.
Shipping Times
We work hard to get your order to you as soon as possible. We provide estimated shipping times on our product pages based on the information we receive from our manufacturers and freight companies. These estimated shipping times may change or vary without notice due to a variety of challenges, such as supply chain issues, steel mill production delays, manufacturing delays due to steel mill delays, shipping congestion, and more.
Shipment delays due to the above mentioned challenges are unavoidable and outside the control of Home Safes USA. While we understand this can be frustrating, we ask that you please be patient and understanding during these tough times. Please read the following Exchange Agreement:
When you make a purchase from Home Safes USA, you are acknowledging the following Exchange Agreement:
  • I understand I am responsible to fully inspect the package upon delivery. I will notate and take pictures if there is any damage and provide the notes and photos to Home Safes USA within 24 hours of the product being delivered.
  • I understand that if my order has left the warehouse that I am not able to receive a full refund.
  • I understand that if I return a product after it has shipped, I am responsible for covering the cost of return shipping and the cost of a new product shipping in the event of a refund or exchange.
  • I understand that all products must be returned unopened and unused. I understand that I am responsible to cover the cost of any restocking fee that may occur in the event of a return. I understand that restocking fees can vary based on the product or manufacturer and usually are around 20% of the product cost.
  • I understand that the shipping dates which are outlined on the product pages are only estimates that may change without notice or may take longer than quoted due to factors outside of the control of Home Safes USA.
  • I understand and agree that I will not cancel my order or file a chargeback due to an order or shipping delay. 
All LTL freight deliveries MUST be inspected for damage at time of delivery. The banding will need to be cut and the box taken off the safe in order for proper inspection. The safe itself should be inspected for any signs of damage, including indentations and friction marks. Any signs of damage MUST be noted on the delivery receipt for any attempt of a discount OR refused for a replacement. YOU MUST NOTIFY HOME SAFES USA AT orders@homesafesusa.com WITHIN 24 HOURS. Please note that the driver cannot leave until the delivery receipt is signed for or the delivery is refused due to damages. Again, DO NOT sign for the shipment until you have thoroughly inspected for any damage. Home Safes USA and its partners is not responsible for shipments that are not signed for as Damaged upon arrival. Occasionally, there may be damage that is not apparent upon receipt of a shipment. Some freight carriers allow up to 15 days from receipt of the shipment to accept claims of concealed damage and others do not. After the allowable time of concealed damage claims has passed, Home Safes USA and its partners cannot assist with freight claims. For this type of damage, a replacement safe is not an option. Any discount will be given if the claim is approved.

All LTL freight is shipped in an upright position and banded down to a wooden pallet. Any signs of damage or the freight not being delivered in an upright position are justified reasons for the customer to require further inspection of the actual freight itself prior to signing for the delivery. If the damage is minimal and acceptable to the signatory, they are required to make note of the damage on the delivery receipt at time of delivery prior to signing the delivery receipt. Under NO circumstances shall the signatory discard the pallet or packaging material until the safe has been determined to be in good working condition and/or all claim issues have been resolved.

If your product(s) arrive damaged, please send photos of the damage, box, packaging, SKU, and a detailed description of the damage to orders@homesafesusa.com within 24 hours of delivery and we will attempt to process an insurance claim on your behalf. Photos, videos, and a description of the damage must be sent for freight damage within 24 hours of the product(s) arrival or the freight damage insurance claim will not be valid. Any punctures or visible signs of exterior damage must also be reported within 24 hours of the product(s) arrival.

Failure to follow the procedures above will remove all liability of damage from Home Safes USA and its partners and require the signatory to file any claims against the freight carrier themselves. Please refer to the individual product page for more information regarding shipping or damage claims.
Warranties will depend on the product and manufacturer. Please refer to the individual product page for specific warranty details. Warranty damages occur over time and due to product use. If a product was damaged upon arrival and not reported within 30 days of delivery, the product is not eligible for a warranty claim.
The default policy at Home Safes USA is that the customer is responsible for all return shipping charges or restocking fees unless otherwise explicitly stated on the product page. All returns require a Return Authorization. Returns must be authorized within 15 days of order receipt. Return Authorizations can be obtained by contacting us at orders@homesafesusa.comTo be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Almost all of our products offered have guarantees and warranty policies. This means that upon purchase and delivery, you will receive a fully functional and operational product without any additional expenses incurred. Please refer to the individual product page for more return and warranty details.
The Home Safes USA team is here to assist you and help to resolve any issues that may arise. We have deliberately made our policies as clear and fair as possible and we believe they are some of the best in the industry. Our team is very responsive and will do everything in our power to help you and resolve the issues at hand.
That being said, customers that file a fraudulent chargeback will be held criminally liable for theft. If you did not receive your product or if you have any issues with the product you received, please contact us immediately so we can help resolve your issue.
